This is quite common unless your report is only short.

An abstract must be fully self contained and make sense by itself without further reference to outside sources or to the actual paper. The abstract must be double spaced and no more than 350 words. This is the format all apa abstracts should follow. First list the topics covered by the manuscript.

Insert a running head and page number. Try to put all of the topics together in the title using as few words as possible. A professional title page does have a running head.

The running head is an abbreviated version of the paper title in all capital letters. Set page margins to 1 inch 2 54cm. The title page and the copyright page should be counted but not numbered.

It is an original work not an excerpted passage. Do not indent the first line. Write abstract bold and centered at the top of the page.
